Heino: Die schönsten Volkslieder der Welt

Heino’s pretty much a shoe-in for Record Cover of the Week any time I find him. This cover’s pretty good – it’s got the signature platinum locks, those iconic dark glasses (not as dark as they would later become), and an armful of poodles. But the back cover is even better:

Stylin’! I dig the cut of the jacket, the white turtleneck (how awesome would it be if he was wearing a peace medallion?) and those killer patent leather shoes. But I’ve saved the best for last. Here’s a little photo essay I’ve put together I call:

The Heino Effect on Children

1. Stupor.

2. Bewilderment.

3. Zombie-like trance.volkslieder5a

Heino looks creepily like my ex-husband. And he had the same effect on me – stupor, bewilderment and zombie-like trance.

Where do I find this great LP with the LTU flight attendants?
